Seattle Bass Teachers
Nic Lefebvre
Nic Lefebvre is a multi instrumentalist, composer and singer-songwriter who has recently relocated to Seattle from New Orleans, Louisiana. Nic has been playing music since the age of five and throughout his life. His studies have ranged from formal classical piano lessons to a bass/nature camp in which music was taught through awareness and interaction with the natural elements. The comprehensive way that Nic learned music has inspired his teaching style. Nic believes in basing each student's studies in their specific musical interests and strengths, allowing passion to be a leading force in their growth.
After attaining a Bachelor's degree in both Jazz Studies and Music Composition from Loyola University New Orleans, Nic began teaching at one of New Orleans top schools, Isidore Newman School as well as at the Louisiana Academy of Performing Arts. He has performed and written professionally in many genres including jazz, folk, soul and rock. His greatest achievements to date are the studio albums he has created with his indie pop band and the awards he has won in various composition competitions. Nic's favorite instruments to play and teach include piano, bass (electric and upright), guitar and voice.
